It was opened by Osteopath, Melina Harrison in 2003, with the aim of creating a physical therapy clinic second to none. Our ethos is simple - to welcome you to a clinic where the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed and the clinical care exceptional. Osteopathy is a system of diagnosis and treatments based on the principle that the structure and function of the body are interrelated and therefore rely on each other for optimal health.
Through case history and clinical examination the osteopath seeks to establish the exact source of the patient's problem and formulate a diagnosis. Hands on treatment is aimed at reducing symptoms/pain, restoring function and removing any mechanical imbalances which are preventing healing. The osteopath will also provide rehabilitation exercises and life-style advice to help prevent further problems.
The stresses and strains of daily life can cause pain, stiffness and immobility. Physiotherapy works to correct muscular imbalances, reducing joint stiffness, de-activating tight muscles and strengthening weak areas.
