Kate has given lectures to and examined Masters Students at the University of Hertfordshire.

Kate runs her Clinic in the centre of Welwyn Garden City, in Natural Health, 2 minutes walk from the station. I have seen her on numerous occasions over the past 2 years, and on every visit I have been really impressed with her knowledge, approach and more importantly the outcome of the treatment.
Services
I would highly recommend Kate Whiteland.
I have seen her on numerous occasions over the past 2 years, and on every visit I have been really impressed with her knowledge, approach and more importantly the outcome of the treatment.
She is very friendly and professional and listens very carefully to your specific needs and requirements.
Not only does she treat your problem, but gives you exercises and advice to take away with you to prevent future problems.
I have been attending Kate's clinic for longstanding back trouble and have been extremely pleased.
In order to participate in the class, you will need to be able to get on and off the floor.
As the studios are hired please contact Kate directly with any problems or queries you may have.
Prior to attending your first class, you will be asked to attend a 15 minute 1:1 session with Kate at her clinic to go through the basics to Pilates.
Unfortunately refunds will not be possible if a class is missed as it will not be possible to fill spaces at short notice.
Prior to attending a course of pilates please download a questionnaire and fill in and bring to your initial 1:1 session.
Hydrotherapy (also known as Aquatic therapy) allows you to perform gentle exercise to help mobilise joints and strengthen muscles of the whole body with reduced pain levels by taking advantage of the warmth and buoyancy of the water.
The pool is a special shallow hydrotherapy pool with the water temperature between 33-36C, which is warmer than a typical swimming pool.
Buoyancy reduces the weight bearing through your body between 50% and 90% depending on the depth of the water.
This reduces strain and pressure on joints.
Home visits are also available to Welwyn Garden City and the surrounding area (Hatfield, Welwyn, Hertford etc).
This is followed by the assessment.
You will receive appropriate treatment and advice regarding your problem and suggestions of what you may be able to do to help yourself.
To be assessed thoroughly, you will be asked to undress appropriately.
Depending on the area of the body to be assessed you may want to bring a pair of shorts and for woman a vest top.
You will be asked to settle all accounts at the time of the treatment and will be provided with a receipt to claim back your money from your insurance companies.
