Chronic pain can have a significant impact on every aspect of your life.
It can make you tired and irritable, it can start to affect relationships with those around you and it can lead to stress, anxiety or increase depression.
It can make you feel isolated and alone, cut off from those around you.
You may find that you start cancelling social engagements or taking time off work as you do not feel able to cope with them, or you do not know if you will be having a 'good day' or a 'bad day'.
You may feel that those around you do not understand what you are going through which can feel very frustrating.
Acupuncture can be a very effective addition to other physiotherapy treatment modalities to help speed up your recovery.
The needles used are very fine, single-use stainless steel needles which can help promote healing, improve sleep and reduce pain.
Elizabeth Watson is very experienced in the use of acupuncture.

Pregnancy alters your body at a rate far faster than any other time in your life.
As your baby grows, you will notice that your posture changes, you will move differently and the muscles which normally provide support to your lower back and pelvis will become stretched.
It is therefore very common to experience minor aches and pains in a variety of areas.
Many women will experience discomfort in their lower back, around the front of their pelvis or into the lower abdominal muscles.
You may also notice aches and discomfort around your mid back and rib cage or even headaches.
