De Leon Physiotherapy
Unlike many other physio clinics, we, at de Leon Physio pride ourselves on our combined approach. From your initial assessment, we will assessing the way you move (your biomechanics) and use this as the foundation for all ongoing management.

Treatment will consist of various manual therapy techniques and possibly acupuncture to help release and offload tight muscular structures, mobilise your joints to allow freedom of movement and active rehabilitation and Pilates to address movement dysfunctions whilst strengthening the weaker areas of your body.
Services
The end result of successful physiotherapy treatment should be a pain-free patient.
How this is achieved and how long-term the results are, is very much dependent on the overall physiotherapeutic management of your condition or injury.
Whether you are an elite level athlete or dancer, a sedentary office worker, a run-ragged mum or somewhere in between - here at de Leon Physio your management will always be individualised and a multi-faceted approach.
Ultimately, our goal is to promote healing of the injury and then help you change the way you use your body, reducing the stress on overloaded structures that can result in pain.
The team at de Leon physio are an extremely experienced and passionate team having been supporting clients in elite sports and top level performing arts for many years.
After over 20 years as a Physio, Nicki still absolutely loves what she does!

Early on in her career Nicki worked in the football world part-time, as a physio at QPR Academy and Edgware Town 1st team.
The term 'Physiotherapy' encompasses the treatment of a multitude of conditions and injuries affecting the Musculoskeletal system.
The all-important physiotherapy assessment should identify the injured structures and the underlying cause of the problem to enable a prescriptive and individual treatment programme to be formulated.
Your Physiotherapist will use clinical reasoning and expertise to decide on the most effective and appropriate manual therapy for your injury.
Please allow up to 60 minutes for your initial consultation which will include both assessment and treatment.
Please bring any private health insurance details with you to this first visit if you do not wish to be invoiced directly for Physiotherapy treatment.
Your first appointment will be between 45 and 60 minutes and will include both a thorough assessment and treatment.
Please be prepared to answer some in depth questions regarding your condition, as this subjective part of the assessment will drive the physical examination.
From guiding you through those initial days post injury or surgery through to the point of you returning to pre-injury level sport and function, your rehabilitation will include functional strength training specific to the injury or condition and functional requirements, whilst promoting optimal movement.
It is through successful rehabilitation that you are able to prevent recurrence of your injury and promote optimal biomechanics that reduce the strain on the body.
