Physiotherapy is the treatment and diagnosis of injury, overuse problems, or disease, by non surgical means. A Physiotherapist is also skilled at giving in depth advice on the management of these problems. This may include advice on whether to rest, exercise, apply ice, or use a brace for example. As well as 'hands on' techniques, Physiotherapists are often trained in other treatment means such as manipulation, electrotherapy, acupuncture and injection therapy.

If you will be funding the treatment yourself you do NOT need to see your GP.
If you will be claiming through Private Medical Insurance, you will need to have seen your GP first.
We do not necessarily need to see a letter from your GP at your first visit if there is a time delay with this, as long as you have either seen your GP or had a verbal agreed referral, and as such confirmation be in your medical records.
Once you have received your referral letter we will need to see it.
If you have had any X-rays or MRIs on disc please bring those so that the Physiotherapists can look at them if required.
