GK Physio and Pilates is a friendly Physiotherapy clinic located in a newly refurbished stable in the centre of Ilkley, West Yorkshire. The philosophy of GK Physio and Pilates is to provide rapid pain relief, restore movement, strength and function using hands-on techniques and exercise therapy to get to the very root of the cause and prevent re-occurrence of the problem.

Gemma qualified with a BSc(Hons) degree in 1997 at Leeds, she then worked as a senior Physiotherapist specialising in Musculoskeletal and Orthopaedic problems, within the NHS and private settings.
Her ultimate dream, however, was always to open a 'one stop shop' for Physiotherapy and rehabilitation where clients could be taken from initial injury to full function and to return to their sport or chosen activity.
Gemma founded GK Physio and Pilates in 2011, and after working out of various rooms and studios around Ilkley, she found a lovely converted stable in the centre of Ilkley which had the added benefit of parking and ground floor access for wheelchairs.

At your initial 45 minute appointment a full assessment of your problem will be carried out.
This will include taking a detailed history and followed by a physical examination, from which we will be able to determine the cause of your symptoms and how it can be rectified.
We will always discuss your issues with you and help you understand how and why they have arisen and a treatment plan will be formulated.
Treatment will usually consist of hands-on therapies to provide rapid pain relief, ease stiffness and improve movement.
