Consultant Physiotherapist Dr Robert Bailey is a Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Central Lancashire.

In 2000 he became an Extended Scope Physiotherapist, running orthopaedic clinics. In 2014 he completed his Doctoral Thesis "The Role of Lumbo-Pelvic Hip tests in the Examination of Gait."
His clinical specialism now is spinal pain and sports injuries. He divides his time between post-doctoral research, teaching post graduate physiotherapists and advanced clinical practice.

Spinal manipulation is a high speed movement usually performed on the neck or back.
It is performed to reduce pain and improve flexibility.
It is the type of treatment often associated with Osteopaths as well as Chiropractors.
It is a short, thrust treatment performed at the end of your available range of movement and this approach is often used to break down scar tissue/adhesions, remove a blockage in the joint and to restore full joint movement.
Mobilisation is a gentle, slow movement performed on joints, muscles, ligaments and nerves to reduce pain and improve flexibility.

She fulfils the role of Practice Manager with an enthusiastic, sensitive approach to all our clients and ensures the smooth running of the practice and all elements associated with it.
Having enjoyed a wide variety of sport in the past, as a mother of two training can be a challenge.
However, Emma has recently returned to her running and says she enjoys the time it allows her to both improve mentally and physically.
