Services
The Physio Place offers a comprehensive range of services aimed at prevention, treatment and long term resolve of musculoskeletal aches and pains.
For those people looking to start a new activity, sport or job, perhaps thinking of buying a new sofa or bed and would like some advice we offer sports specific assessments, gait/running analysis, workstation assessment and postural advice regarding day to day activities.
For those who are already experiencing pain, we offer all the above as well as treatment and exercises.
This assessment will watch you walk and/or run, identify any problems that can be seen and advise you of these.
There will also be an assessment of your lower limbs and their mechanics, muscle strengths and lengths as well as a quick check of your core control.
This assessment is particularly helpful if you are a runner, considering running, have aches and pains associated with running/walking.
With so many people now working from home, it's more important than ever to ensure that workstations are well set up to minimise risk of work related/aggravated problems.
Anyone working daily for more than an hour on display screen equipment (DSE) should be carrying out an assessment of their workstation.
These assessments help to identify potential issues before they arise and with small adjustments and often minimal cost, the job is done.
It's well documented that work related upper limb problems and back problems can occur with prolonged static/repetitive postures.
As you probably know, a lot of sports injuries don't just suddenly happen but can be due to a gradual build up or overuse of muscles/tendons/ligaments due to poor technique, muscle imbalance and/or poor mechanics.
These can lead to problems such as tennis elbow, knee pain or back ache all of which can limit or stop us from doing the thing we enjoy most - sport!
Whatever your sport, whether you're new to it or have been doing it for ages our Sports Assessments are of value to you.
Aimed at maximising your enjoyment and ability and addressing any potential problems before they arise, these assessments are a must.
Following a year of restrictions and significant changes to the way we live our lives, issues affecting the wellbeing of many people are now more prevalent than ever.
The Physio Place is keen to help businesses provide Wellbeing support to their staff teams.
The dictionary defines wellbeing as a 'state of being comfortable, healthy or happy' adding that feelings of wellbeing are fundamental to the health of an individual, enabling them to successfully overcome difficulties and achieve what they want out of life.
