Services
Sudbury Physiotherapy Centre, (formerly known as Sudbury Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic), has been based within Sudbury town centre since 2001.
The practice is a partnership between Leon and Nicola Stephens.
All of our physiotherapists are registered with the Health Professions Council and are members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
A qualified physiotherapist since 1996, Leon has an extensive background in sports and dance injuries.
As well as working for the armed forces he has dealt with some of the UK's foremost football, rugby and dance stars.
The 'conditions' page gives a list of just some of the things our team of physiotherapists can help you with.
Physiotherapists use a combination of treatments to help their patients, including various massage & release techniques, manual therapy, specific exercises & movement, lifestyle & ergonomic advice and sometimes acupuncture and other modalities such as ultrasound treatment.
Our team are able to work with people of all ages and backgrounds, on everything from local sprains & strains to serious back injuries, and from simple balance problems through to neurological problems such as stroke, multiple sclerosis and Parkinsons.
Our massage therapists can help with tight, aching or sore muscles.
They may also be able to help regain mobility in stiff joints, and often work in conjunction with our physiotherapists.
Our sports & massage therapist can also assist with treatment of sports injuries and exercise & rehabilitation advice.
A technique using, amongst other things, guided relaxation and hypnosis which helps people deal with personal or professional performance issues, overcome anxieties or phobias, or adjust other behaviours such as smoking or disordered eating.
Dr Mark Chambers practices Clinical Hypnosis and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP).
He can use these techniques to help with a range of phobias, anxiety, personal and professional performance issues, or any area where you feel negative behaviours are impacting upon your life.
Making effective changes and adjustments with these techniques can be quick and easy.
NLP techniques, which can involve some guided relaxation and hypnosis if necessary, are completely without any side effects and of course involve no medication.

Nutritional Therapy is 'the application of nutrition science to promote health'.
It is recognised as a complementary medicine and can be used to support a wide range of chronic conditions, as well as by anyone looking to enhance their health and wellbeing.
In the initial consultation Emma uses a variety of tools - a detailed questionnaire, further discussion and, when appropriate, functional testing - to build up a thorough case history.
