I work with patients to find the root cause of the problem. This may be low back or neck pain, muscle or joint pain, or a sports injury. It could be pregnancy-related back or pelvic pain or an injury at work. I aim to treat it quickly and effectively, and then help you understand how to prevent the problem from returning. Many Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons refer their patients for immediate post-operative physiotherapy starting the next day after surgery to reduce swelling and commence gentle exercises.
I help you understand your problem, so that you can help yourself to restore control of your problem.

This will vary between 30, 45 and 60 minutes depending on the area of pain, nature and complexity of the problem.
Spinal pain patients I prefer 45 minutes and with complex debilitating low back pain patients I much prefer 60 minutes because so much more is achieved in this session.
Sports and joint injuries usually take 30 minutes.
Follow up appointments normally last about 30 minutes but patients may opt to extend to 45 or 60 minutes.
Treatment fees vary according to time taken.
You will be asked questions about the symptoms you have and what makes them worse or better.

Rehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions requires an integration of a hands-on approach and exercises that address the movement impairment, supplemented by a home program of specific individual exercises.
This will allow you to move without pain and fulfil your potential.
Recent trends towards evidence-based practice are of paramount consideration when prescribing exercises to patients.
This requires knowledge of current scientific research, and our Chartered Physiotherapists spend a large amount of time, money, effort and resources in achieving this aim.

Having successfully completed a Diploma in Injection Therapy organised by the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Orthopaedic Medicine in 2001, James Davis is able to offer effective and asceptic injection techniques to patients.
The use of injection therapy in musculoskeletal conditions is a highly effective treatment which is both quick and cost effective.
Indication for its use is primarily symptomatic relief of pain whilst allowing other manual therapy techniques to address the cause.
