The aim of the assessment is to find out the cause of your problems.
The first session usually includes both assessment and treatment (unless you have specifically asked for just an initial chat and advice).
This is so we can register you legally as a patient and so we have a more detailed record for your file.
With this in mind, please arrive five to ten minutes early to ensure that this does not encroach on your treatment time.
The physio will begin by undertaking a thorough medical history and examination to diagnose your problem.

During our discussions with patients, both before and during treatment, we tend to hear similar questions so we have produced a series of leaflets to explain a little bit about some of the more common problems.
These leaflets are in Adobe PDF format and you can download a free viewer to display these documents if you do not already have a copy.
Acupuncture is one of the oldest recorded forms of treatment originally used in China as part of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
It is now practised widely and accepted in its own right as a very effective treatment for a variety of conditions.
