We look at how you move, work, play and generally live your life. This will help us to identify the causes of your problem, and provide you with the treatment and advice you need in order to get better and hopefully avoid recurrence. This assessment process starts the moment you walk through the door! Appropriate physiotherapy management is vital after orthopaedic surgery.

For example, it has been shown that a failure to restore good knee motion might lead to a poor outcome following knee surgery. Early physiotherapy to work on range of motion is therefore extremely important in post-op patients. We are suppliers for all major health insurance companies. In order to use this, please check with your insurer to see if you need to be referred by a doctor.

They will then issue you with a claim or authorisation number, which you can bring with you along with your membership details to your first consultation. At Joint Care Clinic we have extensive experience of assessing and treating patients referred from their employers - both on and off-site.
Services
We operate a one-to-one approach, starting with your detailed initial assessment and examination where we will thoroughly explain your problem and detail the treatment plan we suggest.
Your treatment will often involve 'hands on' sessions where appropriate and will always have an individual rehabilitation programme for you to undertake between sessions.
Personal attention will ensure we understand your needs and provide you with the treatment plan that is right for you and your goals.
Good communication between physio and patient is vitally important.
At Joint Care Clinic we use an evidence-based approach to patient care.
This includes using research evidence to guide our treatments, and our own audit and research into our clinical effectiveness and treatment outcomes.
We have on-going audit activity of our whiplash and neck outcomes, and have just started using the latest outcome measure from the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, which has been trialled Europe-wide.
Our most recent snapshot of Neck data showed that of 27 consecutive patients, consisting mainly of those with whiplash injuries, patients achieved an outcome of 80% or better in an average of just 4 sessions with a combination of manipulative treatment, soft tissue work and home exercise.
