Services
Our physiotherapists based in Milton Keynes and Northampton treat any problem related to muscles, joints, bones, nerves, ligaments and tendons.
We treat any problem associated with the spine and also provide post-surgical/fracture rehabilitation.
Physiotherapists use mobilisation techniques, manipulation, strengthening, stretching and Pilates exercises to treat injuries.
We can also use acupuncture to treat musculoskeletal conditions.
Our physiotherapists take a detailed history and use orthopaedic tests to diagnose a patient's problems (in the same way as orthopaedic specialists would).
I first visited Wayne when he was at the Blackberry clinic some eight to ten years ago and the biggest compliment I can pay him is that I am still a patient but course not for the same problem.
He has since treated me for a number of issues, back, three shoulder operations, ruptured disc in cervical spine, and now a partial knee replacement.
He was always successful and I constantly recommend him to friends and acquaintances.
Always help me understand the underlying problem and why the work we do rectifies it.
All our Physiotherapists are registered with the HCPC and the CSP.
They follow on-going professional development, and pride themselves in their quality of treatment, and knowledge base.
Our patients are treated holistically, bringing them back from injury, but also aiming to help prevent further injury.
We use specific techniques to bring their quality of exercise to a level above where they were pre-injury.
Enhancing patient's quality of life: at leisure, in the office/manual workplace or on the sports field.
Back pain is the most common complaint we see in the outpatient setting followed closely by neck problems.
It is said 80% of the population will suffer low back pain at some point in their life.
Some patients we see report a history of trauma or an event that has brought on their pain but the majority tend to have no explanation as to how their pain started.
Like all injuries or aches and pains, early diagnosis, advice and treatment is important to try to avoid pain becoming chronic and to try to avoid recurrence of these problems.
Injury can affect your bones, muscles, joints or the connective tissues that hold them together - the tendons and ligaments.
Most of the time the cause of your injury can be established and a recurrence prevented, so it needn't stop your fitness programme for long.
But it's vital you don't ignore injuries and simply 'soldier on' as this can make them much worse and leave you with a chronic condition that's far harder to treat.
Here are some of the commonest causes of injury and, the quickest route to rehabilitation.
