At the heart of what we do is functional movement.
The ability of the body to move efficiently is central to being able to perform at your best and stay injury free.
Running is a skill and most people have not been taught how to run.
Through our unique coaching methodology we have developed the ability to help individuals of all levels and from all sports.
Based on your objectives and what you are trying to achieve, we use our coaching methodology, step-by-step coaching, guidance and motivation (and your hard work!) to help you achieve your goals.
Physiotherapy is a health care profession concerned with human function and movement and maximizing potential.
It uses a variety of physical approaches to promote and maintain physical well being.
It is science based and Bristol Physiotherapy Clinic's therapists ensure that evidence based practice, with clear objectives underpins all our treatment regimes.
We aim to provide comprehensive patient care to all in the local community through high clinical and professional standards and exceptional customer care.
At Bristol Physiotherapy Sports Injury Clinic in Bristol we have a state of the art designated Sports and Injury Rehabilitation Area that utilises a range of unique protocols as well as highly trained rehabilitation staff.
This allows us to offer supervised and specific rehabilitation sessions, to ensure optimal recovery and reduced risk of re-injury.
By using a combination of unique protocols, we will progressively help you to regain motor and neuromuscular control, improve your mind-body coordination, increase range of motion and get you stronger more flexible.
I have been attending Bristol Physiotherapy Clinic since I moved to Bristol in early 2013.
The clinic provides an amazing 'one-stop-shop' catering to everyone, no matter what their sport or level of athletic ability.
The qualified and experienced practitioners are consummate professionals who take a holistic approach to injury prevention and treatment, and their knowledgeable, caring, skilled and individualised approach really is second to none.
Regular massage from Chris and physio and acupuncture from Charlie have helped keep me injury free and enabled me to recover from the training I am doing to prepare for all my crazy adventures.
The Wave: The 'shockwave' is a pulse generated by compressed air which is converted into acoustic energy.
The acoustic pulses are then transmitted via a dispersive wave into the tissue of the affected area.
Within therapeutic use, the wave is generated via a pneumatic system, resulting in the production of a radial (dispersive) wave.
This differs from the Focussed waves which are used in Surgical Interventions and given their destructive nature are not appropriate for therapeutic use.
Professor Tim Kratson states, that one of the strongest arguments for the use of shockwave in therapy is that it effectively takes the affected issue from a chronic state to an acute one.
