Services
80% of the population suffer a back problem at some time in their lives.
At Meon Valley Physio we generally take a fairly gentle approach to backs using mobilisation/manipulation, and technology such as ultrasound.
Most importantly we then work with you to restore the muscles around your pelvis (your core muscles) and so reduce the chances of a recurrence.
This is another part of the spine vulnerable to injury.
Many contact sports, high risk activities such as skiing and of course whiplash injuries from car crashes will leave your neck in need of attention.

To make sure you are comfortable before you come for treatment, and also ensure you have everything you need, here are a few helpful notes.
If you have a question you cannot find the answer to, please feel free to contact us.
Paul or Jackie will take a history of your condition and ask you about any other medical problems you have or have had in the past (they may be relevant).
Next you will be examined.
Generally you will be asked to do a movement or task to reproduce your symptoms.
For example, if you have a problem with your feet, knees, hips or lower back, we usually ask to watch you walk.

We are based in the village of Hambledon in the Meon Valley.
We have a treatment room at our home on Speltham Hill where we can see patients throughout the week and some evenings.
Alternatively we keep a few appointments each week in the Doctors' surgery at the village hall, which has wheelchair access.
Many sat-navs will direct you through the maze of narrow country lanes!
