Initial assessment session: The first time you see us, the physiotherapist will assess the cause, severity and nature of your problem.
They will ask about similar problems, treatment or investigations you have had, your general health and any medication you may be taking.
We discuss your lifestyle, work and leisure activities as these may impact your condition.
We then carry out a full examination of the problem area.
The physiotherapist will then discuss your diagnosis and advise you on appropriate treatment options.

Acupuncture is an integrated approach to the management of pain and inflammation as well as a means of stimulating the body's own healing chemicals in order to aid recovery and enhance rehabilitation.
We use it frequently as part of the treatment for musculoskeletal pain.
Our physiotherapists are registered with the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists.

As much as we enjoy sports and exercise, it can sometimes cause injuries which can be acute or chronic.
An acute injury is usually the result of a sudden awkward movement or impact.
A chronic sports injury tends to develop over time, often due to stressing the same joint or muscles.
The rate of recovery of acute injuries can be increased by reducing joint swelling, preventing joint stiffness and muscle weakness.
Early physiotherapy can help to minimise tissue damage and facilitate a quick return to active sport.
