Prospect Physio is a unique neurological physiotherapy private practice set in Stourport-On-Severn, Worcestershire. The lead physiotherapist, Leander Walton is a highly skilled physiotherapist who brings over 10 years experience specialising in neurological conditions at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. The practice is based in a purpose built rehabilitation unit, fully equipped and providing everything that a neurological patient would require.
Prospect Physio treats Stroke, Head Injuries, Parkinson's disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy, and many more conditions, including general longer term rehabilitation needs. We primarily use hands on treatment techniques but are also able to offer adjuncts such as FES (Functional Electrical Stimulation) and the use of air splints, amongst others.

We aim to provide a unique patient centred service.
On the initial visit a full neurological assessment will be carried out and patient and physiotherapy goals will be discussed.
Further treatment needs will be highlighted and joint decisions can be made re the patients physiotherapy objectives.
Each patient will have a problem list and treatment plan devised specifically for their presenting condition and the goals will be discussed throughout the treatment sessions.
A printed copy of these goals are available for all patients.

Leander is a chartered physiotherapist with registration to the Health Professions Council and a member of the chartered society of physiotherapy.
She graduated from Coventry University in 1998 with a BSc (HONS) in Physiotherapy and went on to work for Medway Maritime Hospital, Gillingham, Kent.
She worked at Medway for just under 6 years, working through rotations to achieve a basic grounding and then choose to specialise in neurology.
She then moved back to the Midlands and worked as a senior physiotherapist for University Hospital Birmingham Foundation Trust (Queen Elizabeth and Selly Oak hospitals), gaining invaluable experience in neurosurgery, neurology and stroke.
