What is Community Physiotherapy?
For many people getting to a clinic for a physiotherapy appointment just isn't practical.
We offer a service whereby a physiotherapy assessment and treatment can take place within your own home or in a care environment.
We will visit you and can provide a specialist assessment of your needs within your own comfortable surroundings.
We will set up programs with you, designed and tailored to your individual needs that family members or care staff can support.
We will set goals together and work towards these.
What is Paediatric Physiotherapy?
Paediatric physiotherapy helps children to achieve their optimal physical development.
They have specialist knowledge in the movement, development and conditions that are likely to affect the baby and growing child and treat from 1-day-old babies to adolescents.
Paediatric Physiotherapists encourage children to move to the best of their abilities through play and age appropriate fun and instruction.
As the musculoskeletal system is still developing and maturing, the problems seen in children are often different to those seen in adults.
What is Respiratory Physiotherapy?
Physiotherapists are key health professionals in helping people with respiratory conditions.
Our physiotherapists are skilled in assessing and treating people with acute and chronic respiratory issues, and may be able to assist you in avoiding hospital admissions.
Respiratory physiotherapy is therapy designed around supporting and treating lung conditions.
Its aims are to clear the lungs of secretions, reduce the effort of breathing and improve your exercises tolerance.
Oncology and palliative patients are though to be highly responsive to massage therapy.
An oncology massage is patient specific and largely is based around treating the side effects (long and short) of chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery.
Focusing on de-stressing and pain relief, massage is also available to anyone wanting to take some time out for themselves.
Sports Massage can be beneficial to all, not just sportspeople and athletes.
So whether you are stiff from your last training session, tight from being hunched over a desk all day, or have DOM's from a weekend of DIY, a sports massage may be for you.
