Services
I have wanted to be a physiotherapist since my teens and graduated with a physiotherapy degree from Sheffield Hallam University in 2005.
Following graduation I worked within a variety of NHS and private settings.
The clinic was set up in 2007 and I have been lucky enough to enjoy seeing it grow over the last ten years.
I love working with people and thoroughly enjoy my job as a physiotherapist and the challenges it brings.
As a physio you never see the same injury twice and I enjoy the challenges of developing individualised strategies to suit and support each patient to resolve their issues.
Acupuncture is one of the many skills we may use within our physiotherapy treatment to offer a comprehensive approach to the management of pain and inflammation and as a means of stimulating the body's own healing chemicals to aid recovery and enhance rehabilitation.
The use of acupuncture within physiotherapy is underpinned by a strong background of clinical reserach and evidence.
All of our physiotherapists who practice Acupuncture are AACP accredited.
This means they have over 300 hundred hours of theoretical and practicial training and have passed the necessary examinations to achieve their accreditation and continue to further this training each year to maintain their accredited status and the necessary high standards of practice.
Women's Health Physiotherapy is a highly specialised area of Physiotherapy that deals with assessment and treatment of women's health related problems.
1 in 3 women suffer from some form of women's health problem during their lifetime.
These issues may arise during adolescence, pregnancy, childbirth, menopause or with advancing age.
Many women are too shy or embarrassed to seek help or are unaware that safe and effective treatments are available.
Your treatment session will include an in-depth assessment and an internal examination if appropriate to help identify the tone, strength and endurance of your pelvic floor muscles.
Pilates is an excellent form of exercise and is suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
It can be particularly beneficial for those with back pain, sports injuries, arthritis and stress related illness, as well as pre and post partum but is also enjoyed by those with the aim of improving their flexibility, muscle tone and posture.
The way we train the 'core' and develop its strength has progressed and evolved over recent years in light much research done in this area.
We aim to facilitate individuals to move in a way which seems effortless and is both controlled and efficient.
Physiotherapists have the experience and knowledge to provide a massage, which is tailored to you and your individual needs.
Some of our patients book massage appointments to reduce desk related neck tension, others prefer a sports massage and use after or before a sporting event and some just for the opportunity to have an hour of relaxation for themselves so they can carry on feeling great.
