We had a wonderful evening celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Ann McLaughlin Physiotherapy. Thank you very much to everyone who came along to help make it such a great celebration! See photos here. Last year we celebrated 50 years of Physiotherapy in Ealing - it was our Golden Jubilee and we are very proud of this achievement. The practice was started when my GP asked me to see one of his patients in the area but I had recently given birth to our daughter Sarah and wasn't intending to work.
However the challenge was just the stimulus that I needed. Sarah travelled around in a red carrycot and fortunately was a good sleeper. So.the practice was launched. Our son Andrew was born 20 months later and with the help and support of family and friends we set up a treatment room at home. Over the years the practice grew and we needed more space.
Fortunately I was able to move the practice into its current home, which was a stable and coach house in the late 19th century complete with original cobbles and part of the stalls used for the horses.

Having qualified as a Physiotherapist many years ago, I worked at Barts and later Great Ormond Street Hospital giving me wide experience in Orthopaedics, rehabilitation following neurosurgery, post natal exercise and management of acute respiratory conditions.
I then changed direction and worked in the independent sector starting my practice in Ealing over 50 years ago.
The practice has grown over time and moved into our present location 23 years ago.
There are 5 therapists and a team of 3 who run our office.

I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say thank you to Sangna for her help.
I tore a calf muscle in January and last Friday I ran a sub 50 minute 10k, the fastest I've ever done.
Tim has been treating me for a muscular/skeletal shoulder problem and has provided me with good advice and provided me with a regime of exercises with continued improvement.
All the Staff at the practise are extremely friendly and efficient.
Having recently had an appointment with your physiotherapist, Sian Knight, I wanted to say thank you for the excellent, professional and friendly experience for a particularly sensitive problem.

Pilates is a form of exercise which concentrates on strengthening the body with an emphasis on core strength.

The key elements of pilates are the abc's alignment, breathing and core stability.
