Services
On your first appointment at the Body Align Clinic based in Lewes, a full medical case history will be taken, followed by a physical examination of your symptomatic area (you may be asked to remove some items of clothing).
During this assessment you may be asked to perform a few simple spinal or joint movements.
If necessary the practitioner will also complete neurological, respiratory or cardiovascular tests.
The practitioner will use their highly developed sense of touch called palpation to assess areas of weakness, tenderness, restriction or strain within your body.

A gait and running assessment includes a biomechanical video analysis of your lower limbs whilst walking and running on a treadmill.
This can identify the underlying cause of persistent and recurrent problems such as low back, hip, thigh, knee, ankle or foot pain; particularly if this comes on during or after exercise such as walking, running or playing sport.
It's also beneficial if you undertake sport at high level and are looking to maximise your performance.
An initial 45-minute assessment will include a short interview to understand the exact nature of your problem and how it is affecting you.
