Harris & Ross
Although social distancing rules are being relaxed, cases remain high and are climbing, and we have a responsibility to protect you, our patients, and ourselves. Furthermore, although rules are being relaxed regarding social distancing, rules regarding isolating are not. Therefore, it remains imperative that we protect ourselves and our patients as much as possible.

Our policy at Harris & Ross will therefore not change at this stage. Therapists will continue to wear PPE and we would like all of our patients (where possible) to support us by continuing to wear face masks when attending appointments. We remain in close contact situations during appointments and therefore we feel that it is appropriate to continue with these measures at this stage.

Harris & Ross is one of the country's leading physiotherapy practices, with clinics in Manchester, Wilmslow, Altrincham and Wigan. Our aim is to bring our standards of elite, professional care to everyone. The Harris & Ross specialist team will work with you to diagnose your problem and create a detailed physiotherapy programme that is tailored specifically to your needs, whether you are looking to recover from an injury, improve your general fitness or prepare for your latest sporting challenge.
Services
Harris & Ross, formed in 2004 by Directors Rob Harris and Jeff Ross, grew from the desire to be able to bring the same level of care provided to elite athletes to the general public; bridging the gap between how professional sports people were being treated and what was available to everyone else.
Both our Directors hail from the elite sports world and brought their experience and skillset to the table, welcoming ALL who come through our clinic doors.
Rob and Jeff have earned their reputation throughout their careers.
At Harris & Ross, we provide a wide range of physiotherapy and healthcare services to suit all needs.
Whether you want to recover from an injury in order to return to work, prepare for a sporting event or simply wish to achieve a more active lifestyle, our experts can tailor a plan to help you achieve your goals.
Good work posture is renowned for being important in the office, yet is hardly ever encouraged.
It may feel more comfortable to slouch in your chair, .
It really was that straight forward - back training after 4 sessions with Dave, after 3 other physios failed to help.
The neck is a common region to cause headaches.
Cervicogenic headaches or Cervical headache as they are known, are terms used to describe a headache that is secondary to a problem in the neck.
This includes dysfunction of the joints, muscles, fascia and nerves of the neck.
Causes of a cervical headache are varied.
They may develop due to problems with the joints of the neck, the intervertebral disc between C2 and C3, and the neck muscles.
Problems in these areas can cause pain messages to be fired off to the Trigeminal-Cervical Nucleus (TCN) in your brainstem.
A 5th Metatarsal Fracture is a common injury we see at Harris & Ross.
It requires complete immobilisation and Harris & Ross will then focus on alleviating the stiffness and weakness in the area once healed.
With our help, the symptoms of a metatarsal fracture recovery can be alleviated and we can get you back on your feet.
Metatarsals are the long bones of the foot, of which there are 5 running from bones in the middle of your feet (Tarsals) down to your toes (Phalanges).
A 5th metatarsal fracture is where a fracture occurs in the one on the outside of your foot.
Frozen Shoulder, or Adhesive capsulitis as it is also known, is a condition that causes severe pain and stiffness of the shoulder.
At Harris & Ross, our practitioners are expert in diagnosing and guiding treatment for people suffering from this condition.
The exact cause is unknown.
It sometimes can be set off by a small injury, but most often starts following no trauma or injury of note at all.
The shoulder joint capsule when healthy is elastic and supple, allowing a large range of movement.
With a frozen shoulder this capsule becomes thickened, tight, swollen, red and inflamed, leading to shoulder pain and immobility.
