Janette is the Clinic Director and an experienced physiotherapist specialising in the assessment, treatment and management of musculoskeletal and sports injuries. Janette works closely with Orthopaedic surgeons. Janette is a member of an elite group of manual physiotherapists who specialise in the management of peripheral and spinal conditions. A former physiotherapist to St Helens Super league rugby club for 12 years and physiotherapist to Great Britain, Wales & Samoa Rugby World Cup teams.
She has also been a physiotherapist for national and international athletes at the Commonwealth Games. Also operating at our practice is Christine Smith who specialises in the assessment and management of clients with neurological disorders such as stroke, head & spinal cord injury and progressive neurological conditions. Christine has many years of experience of working in the NHS and is Advanced Bobath trained.
Christine is currently studying for a PhD at the University of Salford. Janette was the first woman physiotherapist to tour with the Great Britain Rugby League team and is also in the Guinness Book of Records as the first woman physiotherapist to represent a RLFC at Wembley stadium.
