Whilst with the R.N.
I had first rate sports and exercise medicine training combined with cutting edge orthopaedic experience.
Alongside my clinical practice I was lead physio with Devonport Field Gun crew, working with them for 12 years.
They competed annually at the Royal Tournament in what was known at the time as 'the toughest team sport in the world' and I am proud of my long association with this Royal Naval tradition.
My career in private practice started in 1988 and by 1993 I had established Alison Morton Physiotherapy with the aim of using my physiotherapy skills and broad depth of clinical experience to provide my patients with both evidence and clinically based best practice My passion for active involvement in sports physiotherapy progressed to my becoming involved in local and then National and representative Rugby union, becoming Plymouth Albion's physio from 2001 to 2007, during which time they rose through the leagues to play top level rugby in the Championship.
